The weeks following the winter holidays are always busy as my three younger siblings all have birthdays. We celebrated Brian’s birthday last weekend, and this past weekend we celebrated both Ali and Natalie’s birthdays.
On Saturday, after a few hours of ice skating, Ali invited about twenty of her friends over for hot chocolate and a sprinkle-covered cake.
With a win in Baltimore, a graduation party, and a joint birthday dinner, Sunday proved to be a celebratory day as well. My sorority sister, Malissa, was graduating from nursing school after several years of late nights and early mornings.

I hadn’t seen Malissa in a few years, so I was happy that I was able to attend her party and catch up.

In the late evening, I met my family and friends back at my house for dinner and more dessert.
It was a sugar-filled weekend!
Cake or ice cream?

Cake… definitely cake! :-)
I usually always pick ice cream over cake, but if it’s red velvet, then I’m sold!
That is the coolest nursing cake I’ve ever seen! I hope it was delicious as it was beautiful. And I’m all about the ice cream 90% of the time and crave cake 10% of the time.
The cake was beautiful and delicious!
Yes! A very sugar filled weekend :)
I say cake!! In particular, just the icing from the cake – but not the fondant kind. Yum!
I usually always go for ice cream, but good frosting is hard to pass up!
