Early Sunday morning, my three sisters and I drove to Annapolis for a quick meeting followed by a bridal showcase. Jen’s company, Living Shabby Chic, was a vendor, so we were there to help her along with assisting our friend and event planner, Val.
It didn’t take long before I found the two most important areas in the venue–the mimosa bar and the candy bar (the two best types of bars in my opinion).
Though none of us are brides with weddings in the near future, it was still fun to envision ourselves in white gowns on our special day.
I particularly loved the simple florals that were right in line with the showcase’s rustic theme.
After a few too many plates of fruit and “taste-testing” each cupcake flavor, the four of us made sure to play with props in the photo booth.

It was a gorgeous (and inspiring!) afternoon on the water.
Candy bar or traditional wedding cake? I told my sisters that I’ll be having both!

that looks so fun! i wish i was an event planner in another life!
I was in Annapolis too! This event looks like a blast! Totally my dream job.
I did both! :-)
I want an ice cream bar, a candy bar, a cupcake bar, and a cookies/brownies/bread pudding kind of bar. And a fake wedding cake just for looks. HAHA…. sugar overload! I think mimosa bars are great for bridal showers!
Both! Def both!
