Brunch in Roland Park

Miss Shirley's

I’ve learned the secret to starting the week off on the right foot: orange crushes and a warm stack of chocolate chip pancakes. To celebrate my brother’s birthday, my younger siblings and I brunched at Miss Shirley’s Café in Roland Park (a must-try if you’re in Baltimore) this morning. We ordered an assortment of entrees, but the sweet potato fries with citrus aioli are not to be missed. A quick meeting at The Baltimore Sun took us downtown, then we spent the rest of the afternoon shopping. I’m hoping we can catch a late showing of The Wolf of Wall Street tonight—it seems fitting to see an R-rated movie now that Brian is officially 17—after dessert and presents.
